Pletor Secures €2 Million to Advance AI-Driven Visual Marketing
On Tue, Jun 3, 2025, Pletor, a Paris-based startup specializing in generative AI for marketing, announced a €2 million pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by Atlantic Labs and Kima Ventures, with support from various business angels.
Pletor enables marketing and design teams to create custom AI agents that can automatically generate brand-consistent visuals, analyze creative campaign performance, and suggest new visual directions. Unlike traditional AI image generators, Pletor offers a platform for users to design and integrate their own creative assistants within their existing workflows, such as Figma or CRM systems.
The demand for content production continues to grow, with social media advertising expenditures rising 14% in one year, reaching nearly $220 billion. However, a study by Adobe highlights that 70% of creative teams' time is currently consumed by non-creative tasks like project management and format adaptation. Pletor aims to address this inefficiency by allowing teams to become architects of their own processes.

The European market for customizable and interoperable AI-driven solutions is still developing. While platforms like Runway, Adobe Firefly, and Canva incorporate AI components into generic products, few startups offer a customizable and workflow-oriented approach. In France, Kive.ai is an emerging player, although it does not adopt Pletor's modular approach. Typeface is a noteworthy competitor on a European scale, focusing primarily on international groups.
Founded in 2024 as Lasqo AI, Pletor recently rebranded to emphasize its international ambitions. The startup participated in the Station F incubation program and comprises a founding team with diverse backgrounds: Ferdinand Terme (ex-Alma), Maxime Fonsale (ex-McKinsey), and Antoine Sueur (AI generative researcher). With the recent funding, Pletor plans to develop a robust product offering, strengthen its technical team, and accelerate commercial expansion, particularly internationally, where it already generates 50% of its initial revenue.
